love this camera. its been rated high as a waterproof/rugged camera, but also in general as a point and shoot. the picture and movie quality beat my panasonic lumix tz5 hands down. used it in the pouring rain and immersed it in the sink to clean with no issues. not the most customisable, but has some very clever modes like auto panoramic, wonderful low light and high speed shooting. zoom (whether optical/digital) is possible in videos and they come out crisp and clear, focus is maintained. sliding protective cover is a great feature which most waterproof cameras oddly dont have. the glossy cover finish is a bit tacky but useful as it can double as a mirror for self shots. super compact, similar to a blackberry bold or wallet. touchscreen is responsive, personally would have preferred more buttons, but it works fine. some have commented zoom button is a bit small but ive had no issues.
overall, this is a wonderful point and shoot. perfect for everyday use and bringing on trips and hikes as it has the rugged features you need. not rated for deep diving, but snorkelling is fine. picture quality is superb, many sites have ranked it top 5 for all P&S (not just waterproof genre).
