Lowepro 35092 Primus AW Premium Backpack (Arctic Blue) CustomerReview

Bought this almost six months ago after a friend recommended it to me. In the lower compartment I usually carry a Canon 50D with lens attached, a medium telephoto lens, and an additional shorter lens. Everything fits nicely, assuming that you carry a limited selection of equipment, and I've found that my camera can be removed quickly through the side pocket. I can see how this would be a problem for larger body cameras, though. The top compartment stores dry socks, snacks, and spare water quite nicely, along with other essentials.

First and foremost, you have to remember that this bag is designed for hiking/outdoor photos, and it does that quite nicely. Having the bag open up from the back helps minimize water exposure when it's raining, rain shield helps out even more. I took this bag on a six hour hike through pouring rain, and everything inside stayed nice and dry, and the internal padding protected the equipment inside from the bumps that are bound to happen when hiking.

I really only have 2 complaints about the bag, both of which I've worked out my own solutions for. I wish the rain shield covered the tripod as well (I now carry the tripod in a waterproof bag, which I can strap to the outside). The velcro padding for the lower compartments is obviously only designed to fit in the bag 2 different ways - if your equipment doesn't fit that, you'll have to bend the padding to reconfigure it your way.

0 is a steep price, but it's a pretty rugged bag, and will last me a while. I'd rather pay a little extra and know my gear is safe, than to skimp on the bag and end up with a broken lens.
